Enrichment in the Early Years

Essington’s Kinder, Preschool and Pre-Transition programs develop a love of learning in every new learner.

The Essington School provides a myriad of enriching opportunities for children in our Early Years programs, catering for children from 2 to 5 years old.

Modern Montessori emphasises a play-based approach to learning. Through play and active participation your child will develop interests and construct their own identities and understanding of the world.

This play-based learning approach allows the development of:

  • Identity
  • Connections
  • Wellbeing
  • Confidence
  • Effective communication

The learning focus is on building the whole child; their confidence, self-esteem, social and emotional wellbeing, not just on academics.

Essington is committed to leading practice in early childhood education, we actively engage in national programs that enrich our preschool community and provide a broad range of experiences for your young learner.

We incorporate the following programs:

Little Scientist House

The Preschool is a certified Little Scientist House providing your child with hands-on, enquiry-based STEAM learning. STEAM learning encompasses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

Passports to the World

Passports to the World teaches your learner about diversity, culture, and creates a connection with the world. Our families are invited to share their language and culture, while Indonesian is proudly implemented as part of the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA).
