DEFENCE SCHOOL MENTOR

The Defence School Mentor (DSM) is a defence-funded position that is aimed at supporting dependent children of Defence members enrolled at TES. The objective is to ease the impact of mobility and service-related parental absence. Within the TEISD community the DSM provides assistance to Defence students and their families, and raises awareness of unique needs of these families due to the military lifestyle.  

 This is a non-teaching role. The role of the DSM is not one of a teacher or counsellor, but as a conduit between these professional services to facilitate information-sharing and appropriate referral to support services as required.

OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS CARE EDUCATOR

The OSHC Educator contributes to the Service's Outside School Hours Care educational program, including the delivery of programs, engagement with children and families and ensuring that their interactions with children and families are of a high standard.

The Inclusion Support Assistant is to use specialist knowledge and experience to provide appropriate support to students in relation to their individual abilities. Work may be carried out in the classroom and on an individual or small group basis outside the classroom.

ICT SUPPORT OFFICER - LEVEL 2

The primary responsibility of the ICT Support Officer is to provide a high level of customer service to staff and students in resolving ICT issues and fulfilling and supporting educational and administrative requirements for ICT services. As a member of the ICT team, they will use their technical skills and their passion for solving real-world problems to assist the various key stakeholders to make effective use of ICT systems as well as guide users in understanding and receiving greatest benefit from their use.

The Childcare Educator contributes to the Service's Long Day Care and Preschool educational program, including the delivery of programs, engagement with children and families and ensuring that their interactions with children and families are of a high standard.
