Making yourself at home

When looking for somewhere to live, it helps to research all the potential areas and find out what they offer. A website like Homely has reviews on each of the suburbs and you can also ask your own questions.

When it comes to settling into your new area, check out nt.gov.au for information and links to all the services you might need including transport, utility providers, financial services, emergency contacts and more.

School is compulsory in the Northern Territory from the age of six, with three stages for primary and secondary students. We know from over 30 years’ experience that families want the best quality education for their children as well as being welcomed into a vibrant school community. Look for a school that has an enrolment process supportive of your needs as a relocating family. Essington welcomes enrolments all year round, subject to positions being available, and offers remote meetings and interviews with our Heads of School and the Principal so that the enrolment process can begin prior to your move.
